The former is connected to a 120bhp electric motor, while the latter comes with a more potent 148bhp unit. Power is sent to the front wheels on both cars.<\/p>\n<p>As well as using the same platform and running gear as the R5, the Micra also makes use of a similar bodyshell. Nissan\u2019s UK design team has given the Micra its own look, though, with distinctive circular lights front and rear, unique bumpers and bespoke body panels. It\u2019s only the windscreen and roof that share obvious similarities with Renault\u2019s supermini. <\/p>\n<p>Since the Micra qualifies for the Government\u2019s Electric Car Grant, prices start from \u00a321,495, which gets you behind the wheel of a Standard Range car in Engage trim. It\u2019s \u00a32,000 extra to upgrade to Advance spec, but the 52kWh Extended Range version starts at \u00a323,245, courtesy of a bigger discount via the Grant.
